July 7
If you are ever in Jensen Utah, do not let anyone tell you there is nothing good there.
Breakfast.
Betty's Cafe.
Delicious full meal for under ten.
Looked like a lot of family relations there for breakfast before heading out to work.
Pedaled about twelve miles before stopping for fuel at Betty's.
As I rode across the state line between Utah and Colorado, I noticed three riders on the other side of the road.
Crossed over and had a nice talk with them.
They are a group of twenty seven college students from Illinois, pedaling from New York to San Fransisco to raise money for cancer research.

As I left there were more riders from their group coming down the road.
I got into Dinosaur.
Yes, that is the name of the town, complete with streets named after the big beasts.
Saw more bikers gathered at a ice cream store.
BedRock Depot

Delicious ice cream.
Great conversations with bicyclists.
The real point of the day was meeting the co-owners Leona and Bill.
Both are believers in Christ.
And the pastor and another man from Bill's fellowship here in Rangely are going to the Ukraine for a ministry trip.
Sometimes it is good to listen to older folk wisdom.
Bill told me of an alternate route to Rangely.
Glad I took his advice.
A beautiful ride down Blue Mountain road.
Found a room for the night.
Great call from Jonathan before going and getting a burrito for my evening meal.
Tomorrow will pedal toward Montrose.
And tackle another mountain pass in the process.
Thanks for your continued prayers.
Continuing to joy in the journey,
D.
